Kalita Wave
Brew Guide
When to Brew with the Kalita
Kalita has a flat bed and three small holes which create a steadier, more even flow than the V60's single big hole, since water can't rush out through one channel. That evenness produces a balanced, moderately full-bodied cup with rounded sweetness — citrus, chocolate, and caramel notes tend to come through without the sharper acidity of a V60. It's more forgiving of pour inconsistency, making it a good middle-ground brewer for someone who wants quality without obsessing over technique.
