Indonesia – Jawa Frisna

Grown in the West Java highlands around Bandung, between 1,300 and 1,700 metres. This is Indonesia like you haven't tasted it — not the heavy, earthy cup the region is known for, but something bright, clean, and unmistakably tropical. Twelve days of extended fermentation coax out a whole fruit basket: papaya, guava, and jackfruit up front, with crisp apple and a soft pomelo lift. The finish lingers like rose wine — floral, a little wild, entirely its own. It comes from a family-run estate that turned to coffee to restore their own land, farming it organically from seed to cup. An 89-point cup, and one of the most expressive beans we pour. Beautiful as a pour-over, and bold enough to hold its own as espresso.
