When to brew with the Chemex

Chemex's proprietary filters are notably thicker than V60 or Kalita filters, trapping more oils and fine sediment as the coffee drains. The result is an extremely clean, almost tea-like cup with a light body and a short, crisp aftertaste — clarity is the whole point here. It's well suited to brewing larger batches at once and to drinkers who prefer a lighter-bodied, less "coffee-oil-forward" cup.
