Sourced from the Biru Bekele Washing Station in Odo Shakiso, Guji, this coffee showcases the excellence of Ethiopia’s Oromia region. Founded in 2019 by veteran grower Biru Bekele, the station is known for its commitment to elevating local coffee through careful processing and innovation. Farmers from surrounding areas bring freshly picked cherries to the station, where both washed and natural methods are used to produce high-quality beans. A standout feature of this process is the use of Cimma yeast during fermentation, which intensifies the coffee’s flavour complexity. Grown at elevations of 1,800–2,100 meters, these beans benefit from fertile soil and ideal highland conditions.
The result is a cup that is both vibrant and refined. Expect a balanced mouthfeel with bright flavours of sweet lemonade and bergamot. There are delicate floral notes of jasmine green tea throughout. The finish is smooth with a distinctive burst of blueberry. This coffee is perfect for those who enjoy layered, aromatic profiles with a clean, sweet finish.
